NFL Week 2 Betting Preview

Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season was wildly unpredictable as there were a number of big upsets. Will things even out in Week 2, or will it be another crazy weekend on the field?

Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5)

A pair of 1-0 AFC West rivals kick off Week 2 on Thursday Night Football when the Chargers visit the Chiefs. This game should feature a ton of points, but it will be the Chiefs that cruise to a big win to begin Week 2 and cover the spread.

Washington Commanders at Detroit Lions (-2.5)

The Detroit Lions have a ton of optimism despite losing to the Eagles at home in Week 1. The Lions are favored in Week 2 against Washington, but this Detroit team is going to struggle in this game. 

It will be the defense of the Commanders that takes control as Washington pulls off the upset on the road.

New York Jets at Cleveland Browns (-6.0)

The 0-1 Jets visit the 1-0 Browns on Sunday, and the odds suggest that this game will be tight. Even though New York didn't play well in the season opener, look for them to bounce back in this game. 

Cleveland will win the game, but the Jets will keep it close and cover the spread in the loss.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers -3.0 at New Orleans Saints

Bet on the Saints to stick with this theme as they pull off the upset at home in Week 2.

Carolina Panthers at New York Giants (-2.5)

The New York Giants were impressive in Week 1, and now they host a struggling Panthers team in Week 2. Neither team is going to factor into the playoff race, but this is a big game. 

The Giants will create some separation in this one, and they win to cover the spread.

New England Patriots -2.5 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh went into Cincinnati to upset the Bengals, and now they look to upset the Patriots at home. New England was a mess to begin the year, but head coach Bill Belichick can get his team back on track in a hurry. 

Bet the Patriots -2.5 as they are able to get separation and pick up a big win on the road.

Indianapolis Colts -4.0 at Jacksonville Jaguars

After tying with the Houston Texans in Week 1, the Colts look to get things rolling on the road in Jacksonville. The Jaguars are still a work in progress, but they have the formula to beat the Colts. 

Take the Jaguars moneyline in this game as they pull off another shocking upset over the Colts in Week 2.

Miami Dolphins at Baltimore Ravens (-3.5)

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers (-8.5)

The Seahawks were a big surprise in Week 1, while the 49ers were a big disappointment. These two NFC West rivals now meet in Week 2 for a critical game.

San Francisco might be going to Trey Lance too early in his career, and he will struggle again this weekend. Take the Seahawks' moneyline as they pick up a big win over the 49ers.

Atlanta Falcons at Los Angeles Rams (-10.5)

Arizona Cardinals at Las Vegas Raiders (-5.5)

Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers (-10.0)

Betting on the Bears at +10 is the right bet to make, even though the Packers will come away with the victory.

Tennessee Titans at Buffalo Bills (-10.0)

A pair of 1-0 teams with plenty of hype round out Week 2 when the Eagles host the Vikings. Both teams are wanting to win games with offense, and this could turn into a shootout. 

Minnesota just won't be able to get enough defense in this one, as the Eagles will pick up a blowout win.
