NFL Week 12 Betting Preview

23 November 2022 By Cole Paganelli

Week 12 of the NFL season is set to kick off on Thursday, as there are three games taking place on Thanksgiving Day. This has created an interesting schedule for the week, but it will still be one that is full of terrific action.

Here is a look at all of the Week 12 games and a Dunkel prediction for each of them.

Buffalo Bills -9.0 vs. Detroit Lions

The Lions are back in action on Thanksgiving Day as usual, and they have a tough matchup in front of them. Detroit is set to host the Buffalo Bills, and this could turn into a shootout. Look for the Lions to keep the game tighter than nine points, but the Bills are winning it.

New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys -9.0

NFC East rivals meet on Thanksgiving for another game that should be closer than the spread would suggest. It will be the Dallas defense that ultimately sets the tone, but the Giants keep this game within a touchdown.

New England Patriots vs. Minnesota Vikings -2.5

The Vikings are hoping to bounce back after a blowout loss in Week 11, and they are facing a Patriots team that struggles to score. This game will get out of hand in a hurry as the Vikings take complete control and win by at least two touchdowns.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers -3.0 vs. Cleveland Browns

The Buccaneers and Browns have both been hard to figure out this season, and they have been impossible to bet on. This is a very interesting matchup in Week 12 and should be a low-scoring game. Don’t be surprised when the Browns play well and pull off this upset at home.

Cincinnati Bengals -1.5 vs. Tennessee Titans

The Bengals and Titans have both bounced back after a slow start, setting up a good battle in Week 12. There won’t be much separation in this one, but the Titans are going to pull off the small upset at home.

Houston Texans vs. Miami Dolphins -12.0

The Houston Texans have been able to play some teams close this season, but that won’t happen in Week 12. The Dolphins are going to roll to a blowout win to cover this spread.

Chicago Bears vs. New York Jets -4.5

The Bears are a team that can win games with Justin Fields, but he is going to be banged up in this one. The best bet is to back the New York Jets -4.5 as they get a much-needed win at home.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Washington Commanders -4.5

The Commanders are not a flashy team, but somehow they just find ways to win games. Atlanta does provide a decent threat in this matchup, but Washington will take care of business and win and cover the spread.

Denver Broncos -2.5 vs. Carolina Panthers

The Broncos desperately need a win in Week 12, and they are finally facing a good matchup for them. Take the Broncos -2.5 as they roll to a win over the Panthers.

Baltimore Ravens -4.0 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars are a team on the rise, but they aren’t ready to consistently win games in 2022. Baltimore is a Super Bowl contender, and they are starting to prove it. Take the Ravens -4.0 as they beat the Jaguars in Week 12.

Los Angeles Chargers -3.5 vs. Arizona Cardinals

The Chargers and Cardinals have both failed to live up to preseason expectations. Both of these teams can score some points, though, and it should set up for a great matchup in this one. Bet the Cardinals moneyline as they find a way to upset the Chargers in this one.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Seattle Seahawks -3.5

The Raiders and Seahawks are a very interesting matchup, as each team wants to win in a different way. Las Vegas can score, but Seattle will be trying to win with defense. Seattle will end up winning this game, but taking the 3.5 points is the right play.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Kansas City Chiefs -14.5

The Chiefs and Rams have had different seasons, as KC has lived up to the hype, and Los Angeles has not. The Rams are a team with a ton of pride, and they will find a way to keep this game closer than the spread.

New Orleans vs. San Francisco 49ers -8.5

The Saints and Chargers are both still in the mix for a playoff spot in the NFC, and this is a big game. This is a pretty big spread, but it will be the Saints that cover the spread in a loss.

Green Bay Packers vs. Philadelphia Eagles -7.0

It’s hard to believe what has happened to the Packers as they just continue to struggle. Philadelphia just keeps racking up wins, and that will be the case in this one as well. Take the Eagles -7.0, as they just simply outscore the Packers.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Indianapolis Colts -2.5

The Colts have looked better under Jeff Saturday, but this team still has some issues. Pittsburgh has struggled all season long, though, and this will allow Indianapolis to win this game and cover the small spread.
