While the teams in the NFL continue to try and prepare for the upcoming draft, there are other things taking place throughout the league as well. There haven’t really been any major signings over the last few days, but that could always change at any time. 

There was a major accusation thrown out earlier this week, and it could end up impacting the fortunes of a franchise. Here is a look at three of the biggest NFL news stories that have emerged over the last few days.

Cardinals Owner Accused of Cheating

The NFL could be looking at a major scandal as Arizona Cardinals owner Michael Bidwell has been accused of cheating, among other things. The complaint comes from former executive Terry McDonough, and it could lead to some major sanctions against the team. 

The main complaint stems from an order from Bidwell to McDonough and head coach Steve Wilks to use burner phones to contact GM Steve Keim during his suspension from the league. This is in direct violation of NFL rules and policies, and the NFL usually comes down hard on this type of thing.

McDonough reportedly still has the phone that was used during this time, and he is willing to turn it over to the league. The Arizona Cardinals have denied the allegations up to this point, but there will definitely be an investigation from the league. 

This alleged incident took place back in 2018, and the suspension came during training camp for the Cardinals. According to McDonough, Bidwell wanted Keim to continue to make the roster decisions, and that is why the order came. 

The NFL has acknowledged receiving this complaint from McDonough and will begin an investigation. There were other claims against other members of the organization as well, and those will also be explored. 

Kelce Set to Host Music Festival

Travis Kelce is going to be providing some entertainment during NFL Draft weekend, but it has nothing to do with football. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has been on quite the victory tour since winning the Super Bowl, and that will continue throughout the month.

Kelce announced on Tuesday that he will be hosting the first-ever “Kelce Jam” at the end of April, and it will be held at the Azura Amphitheater in Bonner Springs, Kansas. Machine Gun Kelly and Rick Ross have already been confirmed as guests, and more surprises could be on the way. 

The tight end acknowledged that all of this is possible due to the popularity that he has received since winning the Super Bowl. 

Raiders Get Insurance at QB

The Las Vegas Raiders have announced the signing of quarterback Brian Hoyer to a two-year deal. This move comes on the heels of signing Jimmy Garoppolo to be their starting quarterback. 

The New England Patriots released Hoyer at the start of free agency, and he has had very limited action over the last few years. Hoyer played in just one game during the 2022 season and then was placed on injured reserve for the rest of the year.
