New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview

30 November 2021

Tuesday, November 30th New York Knicks @ Brooklyn Nets

The New York Knicks are fresh off of a win over the Atlanta Hawks 99-90. It was an incredible win for the Knicks, who increased their record to 11-9.

They now find themselves at the No.7 spot in the Eastern Conference and will try to climb higher. Unfortunately for them, they're facing the number one team in the conference. Can the Knicks keep up with the Brooklyn Nets?

The Brooklyn Nets sit comfortably atop the Eastern Conference with no signs of letting up. They have a 14-6 record but are coming off a loss to the Phoenix Suns.

Before that loss, the Nets had won four straight games. On Tuesday, they face the New York Knicks, a team that is desperate to prove themselves. Will the Nets take the wind out of the Knicks' sails on Tuesday?

Knicks Betting Preview: The Nets are a true defensive test for NY

As the New York Knicks head to Brooklyn, we wonder how their defense will hold up. Brooklyn has one of the best scoring offenses in the NBA, and the Knicks don't have a great defense.

There is a chance that the Knicks can get overwhelmed early by Kevin Durant and James Harden. Even more bad news for the Knicks as they could be without four players on Tuesday.

Derrick Rose and Taj Gibson have already been ruled out for this game. Now it seems as if Nerlens Noel and RJ Barrett could join the others. If all of these players are out of the lineup, the Knicks are going to be in a lot of trouble.

Especially because Noel would be a great interior defenseman against Durant driving to the lane. We'll have to see how those injuries play out.

Nets Betting Preview: This game is just as important for Brooklyn

Don't allow yourself to believe that the Nets don't need this game because they lead the East. In order to stay on top, you have to beat the best teams; the Knicks are one of these teams.

After a loss to a Western Conference title contender, the Nets need to win this game. With their 11th ranked offense and ninth-ranked defense, we're sure that they can. However, can they cover?

The Nets come in as 6.5-point favorites in this game with an ATS record of 8-11-1. They haven't performed well against the spread because most of their games remain close. Something that we'll note is that they're 3-6-1 ATS when playing at home.

The only saving grace for them here is that the Knicks are dealing with a ton of injuries. This game could be different if they weren't.

Our Pick for the New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets

The Knicks come into this game as road underdogs, something they're familiar with. If the Knicks were at full strength, we'd likely take them against the spread. However, with all of the injuries piling up to key players, we've got to go with the healthy squad.

The Brooklyn Nets have two of the NBA's best scorers, James Harden and Kevin Durant. We expect for them to have a huge game following their loss to the Suns. Although they haven't performed well against the spread in the past, we'll trust them here.

Go with the Brooklyn Nets -6.5 at home in this one.
