We have reached the third and final week of the preseason, and the New York Giants are set to host the New England Patriots on Sunday. These two teams have an interesting postseason rivalry, but this game is not going to have the same excitement or hype.

New England has won each of its first two preseason games, and they have looked extremely sharp in doing so. The Patriots look ready to begin the regular season, but this team will not look past this game on Sunday.

New York has gone 0-2 up to this point, and they still have some issues that need to be corrected. The Giants are going to be a contender in the NFC East this season, but this hasn’t been a good preseason showing.

The New England Patriots are three-point favorites over the New York Giants on Sunday. The over/under for total points is set at 34.5.

Patriots Have Battle Brewing

The New England Patriots are allowing Cam Newton and Mac Jones to battle it out for the right to be named the starting quarterback. Both Newton and Jones have played well up to this point in the preseason, and that has really provided a jolt to the offense.

The Patriots are also a team that loves to run the football, and they have been wearing out opponents in the preseason. New England will rest some starters in this game, but this is a team with tons of depth.

The defense did not allow a single point in the most recent preseason game, and it should be another dominating performance on Sunday.

Giants Can’t Find Offense

The New York Giants have two young potential superstars on offense in Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley, but those players have also been prone to injury. New York is not allowing these players to see much game action so far in the preseason, and the offense has really suffered.

New York has scored just 20 total points in the two preseason games, and they are facing another solid defense in this game. The Giants are never going to be an explosive offensive team, but even just moving the ball has been a challenge.

The defense has kept the Giants in the first two games, and it is going to take another great effort to give New York a chance to win.

Patriots Pick up Win

New England has looked sharp up to this point in the preseason, and there is no reason to believe that anything will change on Sunday. The Patriots are a team that is looking to have a big bounce-back season, and they have been locked in and focused in these games.

New York will have a chance to be a playoff team in 2021, but they are extremely cautious with their stars in the preseason. The Giants just don’t provide much of an offensive threat in this game, and that will allow the Patriots to take control.

Bet the New England Patriots -3.0 as they win this game by more than a touchdown. Taking the under 34.5 points is also the right play as points will be at a premium in this matchup.
