NBA Summer League: Wednesday's Picks

After meeting in the Eastern Conference semifinals, the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers face each other again tonight at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Game time is 9:00 pm ET at Cox Pavilion.

The Sixers lost that postseason series in six games and have started out 0-2 in the Vegas summer session. The most recent loss came on Sunday against Brooklyn (91-84) as Philadelphia continued to struggle on offense while shooting just 40.7 percent (33 of 81) from the floor and 32.1 percent (9 of 28) from beyond the arc.

Miami has split its first two games with a win over the Celtics followed by a loss last night to the Atlanta Hawks. The Heat’s defense was the problem against Atlanta as they allowed the Hawks to shoot over 50 percent (53.6 on 37 of 69) from the field in a 95-88 setback.
