NBA Summer League: Sunday's Picks

The NBA Summer League in Las Vegas continues today with top draft pick Victor Wembanyama trying to improve on his debut performance as the San Antonio Spurs take on the Portland Trail Blazers. Game time is 8:00 pm ET at Thomas & Mack Center.

Wembanyama had an uneven performance on Friday night with just 9 points on 2-of-13 shooting and 3 turnovers against the Charlotte Hornets. But the Spurs did get 20 points out of Julian Champagnie in the 76-68 win that kept the Spurs a perfect 3-0 in Summer League action, including their two games in the California league. Portland opened with a tough 100-99 loss to Houston as Jabari Smith Jr. sank a 3-pointer at the buzzer. The loss was compounded by the shoulder injury to No. 3 draft pick Scoot Henderson, which limited him to just 21 minutes on the floor and is likely to keep him out of tonight’s contest.
