NBA Summer League: Friday's Picks

The NBA Summer League in Las Vegas tips off today with the top two picks in this year’s NBA draft going head-to-head as No. 2 Brandon Miller and the Charlotte Hornets face No. 1 Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. Game time is 9:00 pm ET at Thomas & Mack Center.

While Wembanyama will be making his Summer League debut, the Spurs already competed in the California Classic earlier this week. San Antonio won both its contests, including spoiling Miller’s debut in a 96-77 Spurs’ win on Monday. Julian Champagnie led the way with 30 points for San Antonio, while Miller had 18 points on 5-of-11 shooting. The Hornets didn’t fare much better in their second contest in California, losing to Golden State, 98-83, as Miller was held to just 6 points.
