NASCAR Xfinity 500 2022 Betting Preview

It's the last race of the NASCAR regular season at Martinsville on Sunday afternoon. Kyle Larson's victory last week at Homestead-Miami was a nice retribution after his run-in with Bubba Wallace the weekend before, but since Larson is not a playoff driver, it also leaves three spots in the Championship Race wide open heading into the Xfinity 500.
Here is who the Index likes to come out on top in the final NASCAR race of the regular season.

A.J. Allmendinger 235.279
A.J. Allmendinger will get himself comfortable with Martinsville on Saturday as he tries to sneak into the Xfinity Championship race.
Getting used to the track in a high-pressure situation can only help Allmendinger for the Cup Series race, especially considering he finished 24th here during the Spring race but also has four finishes inside the top 10 in his last seven starts here.
Denny Hamlin 235.597
There are three spots open for the Championship Race in Phoenix, and right now, Denny Halin is on the outside looking in as the current first man out. Hamlin sits in fifth place, but he's also just -5 points back from William Byron to get into the final four.
Hamlin has been right in the mix during the playoffs, with runner-ups at Darlington and Kansas to go along with top-five finishes at Talladega and Las Vegas, so he deserves a chance to race for the championship.
Joey Logano 237.272
Joey Logano has clinched his spot in Phoenix with his win at Las Vegas to kick off the round of eight. That doesn't mean he won't add an extra checkered flag to the resume, especially after finishing runner-up to Byron in the Spring race and leading nine laps at this event last season before finishing 10th. Logano has finished inside the top 10 in eight of his last nine trips to Martinsville, so he'll be in contention on Sunday.
Austin Dillon 237.920
The Index likes Austin Dillon this weekend, even though he's playing the role of spoiler as an eliminated playoff driver. Dillon led five laps at this event last season en route to a 13th-place finish and came in third at Martinsville in the Spring.
He came in fourth last weekend at Homestead-Miami for his best finish in the postseason, so maybe things are clicking at the end of the year for #3.
Kevin Harvick 238.551
Like most tracks on the circuit, Kevin Harvick has experience at Martinsville but won here just once in April of 2011. Harvick is out of the playoffs but trying to finish strong after a runner-up at the Charlotte Road Course, coming in 12th at Las Vegas, and taking home eighth last weekend at Homestead-Miami.
It's been a wild NASCAR season, with anybody having the chance to win each and every week. The best approach here is to go with some higher odds drivers because 19 different cars have gotten to the winner's circle this year.
