The next NASCAR Cup Series race takes place at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City. The AdventHealth 400 will have many different ways to go about your bets, especially since bettors and drivers are still getting used to the Next Gen cars.
The typical betting favorites lead the pack for this race, which means you might be able to find a value pick somewhere in between. Below you can see which drivers have a shot at winning at Kansas.

Watch on: FS1
Track: Kansas Speedway
Betting Overview
One ongoing trend that the Next Gen cars seem to be causing are cautions. Many drivers have experienced run-ins with someone or have crashed themselves out of the race.
This might pace the way for an underdog to sneak their way into the top five. However, sticking to the favorites or someone that has great history might be your best bet.
Head to Head Matchup to Watch
Ross Chastain (176.030) and William Byron (173.180) are two drivers that you need to keep an eye on. Chastain is currently fifth in Cup Series rankings, while Byron is second.
Byron is coming off of a 13th place finish at Darlington, while Chastain did not finish. Both drivers have a lot to prove to get back in shape here.

Drivers That Could Win at Kansas Speedway
Chase Elliott (177.305) is currently first in the Cup Series rankings once again and has another great opportunity to stay there. He is coming off of a fifth-place finish at Darlington recently, which is a track that has some similarities to Kansas.
Martin Truex Jr (176.512), along with plenty of other drivers, did not finish the race at Darlington. He is currently seventh in the Cup Series rankings and needs something to get him back on track.
He has typically performed well at some tracks like this in the past. However, he will need to remain consistent if he wants a shot to win.
Potential Winning Pick
Ross Chastain (176.030) is the betting favorite for a reason. Looking at his performances over tracks that are similar to Kansas are interesting, as he is the best driver overall.
For example, the tracks at Las Vegas, Dover, Kentucky, Michigan, Texas, and Charlotte all have similarities between them and Kansas. These speedways have intermediate tracks that have little wear on the tires, and consistency is key.
Chastain has been consistent on all those tracks and even had the best poke position on many. He has another opportunity to take this one.
Prop Pick
Matchup: Ross Chastain (-110) OVER Martin Truex Jr.
Chastain suffered a wreck while racing for the lead at Darlington last week and had to settle for 30th. But that followed the two previous weeks where he won at Talladega and finished 3rd at Dover. The No. 1 car is ranked 7th in average finish (14).
Truex finished 24th at Darlington, which was the third time in the last five races that he’s finished outside the Top 20. The tough stretch has dropped the No. 19 car to 9th in average finish (14.3).
With Chastain rated No. 2 in this week’s Dunkel Index and Truex No. 3, take Chastain (-110) to have the edge in this matchup.
