MLB Spring Training Picks

The White Sox are expected to contend for the AL crown again this year, but will have to start the season without Lance Lynn in their rotation.

Lynn will likely be out for more than a month after suffering a tear in his knee. To help fill the void, Chicago signed former All-Star Johnny Cueto to a minor league deal yesterday. Cueto went 7-7 with a 4.08 ERA last year with the Giants.

The White Sox will wrap up their spring training today with a Cactus League game against the San Diego Padres. First pitch is 3:10 pm ET at Peoria Sports Complex.

Chicago comes in with an 8-10 spring record following yesterday’s 15-9 loss to the Cubs, while the Padres improved to 7-8 with their 11-5 win over the Rangers.
