MLB Spring Training Picks

Just a day after the Mets sidelined Jacob deGrom with a shoulder injury, the team also had to shut down Max Scherzer because of a hamstring issue.

Suddenly the starting rotation, which was considered a strength for New York, is in disarray just five days before Opening Day in Washington.

The remaining Mets will continue their prep work for the regular season with a Grapefruit League game today against the Miami Marlins. First pitch is 1:10 pm ET at Clover Park.

Following an off-day, New York comes in with a 6-6 spring record, while the Marlins remained at 7-5 after their game against the Nationals was rained out yesterday.
