MLB Spring Training Picks

The LA Dodgers have been searching for a closer following the departure of Kenley Jansen to Atlanta and look to have filled that void with yesterday’s acquisition of Craig Kimbrel.

Kimbrel comes over from the White Sox where he had a 5.09 ERA last year in 24 regular season appearances. But the 33-year-old was dominant for a decade with 371 saves and a 2.24 ERA from 2011-2021.

Kimbrel’s new team, the Dodgers, will continue their spring training today against the NL West-rival San Francisco Giants. First pitch is 3:05 pm at Camelback Ranch-Glendale.

LA comes in with a 4-6 record in Cactus League action, while the Giants sit at 6-7

Dunkel has the Dodgers favored in this one with a rating of 16.196 compared to the San Francisco’s rating of 15.676. Dunkel projects the run total to be at 13.
