Saturday, December 11th Missouri Tigers @ Kansas Jayhawks

Saturday is another full day of college basketball, and there will be extra attention placed on the game taking place in Lawrence, Kansas. The Missouri Tigers come to town, and they are trying to pull off an improbable upset over the mighty Kansas Jayhawks.

Missouri has gone just 5-4 to begin the 2021-22 season, and there have been some very interesting outcomes in the first nine games. The Tigers have gone just 2-3 in their last five games, but a win over Kansas would completely turn the season around.

Kansas has gotten off to a 7-1 start, and the Jayhawks are just one point away from being a perfect 8-0. This team has been in the top-10 all season long, and they will be a team that has a shot to cut down the nets in March.

The Kansas Jayhawks are massive 22.5-point favorites over their border rivals in the Missouri Tigers.

Missouri Miserable on Offense

The biggest problem for Missouri this season has come on the offensive end of the floor. The Tigers are scoring just 66.6 points per game, and they have had a problem with turnovers in some of their losses this season.

Forward Kobe Brown leads the way with 14.8 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, but he's going to have a tough matchup in this game. Missouri will have to shoot it extremely well to keep it close, but they just don't have the shooters on the roster to do so.

The Tigers are holding opponents to just 63 points per game, but they have also faced some pretty bad competition. If Missouri can keep the Jayhawks to 80 points or less, it would be considered a victory.

Kansas Loaded With Talent

Kansas has a number of future NBA prospects on their roster, and they can simply wear down their opponents this season. The Jayhawks are averaging 84.5 points per game on offense while holding opponents to just 67 points per game.

Ochai Agbaji has turned into one of the best players in college basketball this season as he leads the team with over 22 points per game. Dajuan Harris Jr. leads the team with 4.1 assists per game, and he sets the tone for that offense.

Kansas is shooting nearly 52 percent from the field this season, and they just don't take many bad shots.

Kansas Clobbers Missouri in Rivalry Game

Missouri has struggled to compete with some mid-major teams on their schedule this season, and this one could get ugly fast. The Tigers don't have an offense capable of doing much damage against Kansas, and the defense will cause some problems as well.

Kansas is still looking to make amends for an upset loss to Dayton in November, and this is another chance to make a statement. The outcome of this one will be decided by halftime, as Kansas will stretch the lead close to 30 points at times.

Bet the Kansas Jayhawks -22.5 as they completely dominate and embarrass their border rival in this college basketball matchup.
