The race to the Big Ten Championship is heating up, and there is a big game set to take place on Sunday afternoon. The Wisconsin Badgers host the Michigan Wolverines, and the hosts are looking to keep pace in the title race.

Michigan was supposed to be a team that could reach the Final Four this season, but they might not even sneak into the NCAA Tournament. The Wolverines are just 14-10 overall, but they have been picking up some impressive Big Ten Conference wins of late.

Wisconsin is 20-5 on the season, and they are knocking on the door of breaking into the Top 10. The Badgers might need to win out to win the conference title, but that is certainly something that Wisconsin can do.

The defense for the Wolverines has also been an issue at times, and Michigan is allowing more than 68 points per game. If Michigan isn’t locked in on defense on Sunday, then it could turn into a long night.

Wisconsin is a team that is loaded with veterans, but it has been Johnny Davis that is leading the way. Davis is averaging 20.7 points per game this season, and he could be in line for the Big Ten Player of the Year Award. 

Wisconsin should be one of the best shooting teams in the league, but that hasn’t always been the case. The Badgers are shooting just 42 percent from the field, and they have had some long offensive droughts. 

The Badgers are extremely talented, but they also prefer to play much slower than some other Big Ten teams. Look for Wisconsin to try and set the tone with their defense in this game.
