Miami Heat at Milwaukee Bucks Betting Preview/Prop Picks

02 March 2022

The Miami Heat, who lead the Eastern Conference, face the reigning NBA Champions. They'll face the Milwaukee Bucks in Wisconsin in a game sure to be entertaining.

Miami just won a big game against the Bulls a few nights ago. If they can get another win here, it will further solidify their position at the top. However, a loss tonight could bring them closer to the Chicago Bulls.

The Milwaukee Bucks might be struggling with injuries, but that's not holding them back. Their most recent game was against the Charlotte Hornets, and it resulted in a 130-106 victory.

The Bucks have one of the best offenses in the NBA, and they'll hope it leads them to a win here. Led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks will look to grab their 38th win of the season.

Miami Heat: No Kyle Lowry in the lineup for the Heat tonight

The Miami Heat will be without one of their best scorers for tonight's game. Kyle Lowry is out with a "personal" injury, and he's not the only Heat player missing. Along with him is Caleb Martin and Markieff Morris, who are both dealing with injuries.

These injuries could be detrimental to the Miami Heat, especially with who they're facing. They'll need all the help they can get in this one.

As a team, the Miami Heat average 109.45 points per game. Compared to the Bucks' 113.60 points per game, the Heat's average isn't enough. For their sake, they'll need big games from Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro tonight.

Unfortunately, the Heat doesn't have a very strong history against the Milwaukee Bucks. Over their last ten games, the Heat are 3-7 against Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Bucks: George Hill will be sidelined tonight

Another game goes by without George Hill in the lineup for the Bucks. It seems as if the Bucks have found a way to win games without him, though. Relying on Giannis is a big help, and Khris Middleton has stepped up recently.

Defense will be a focal point for the Bucks tonight as they try to stop Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro. The Bucks also have done really well against the Heat.

An important factor to note is that the Bucks have struggled on defense in the past. On average, the Bucks allow 110.02 points per game. This is nearly the same amount that they score per game.

The good news for Milwaukee is that the Heat is dealing with some key injuries. We'll have to take that into consideration when making our pick for the Heat versus Bucks tonight.

Our pick for the Miami Heat at Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks come into this game as 3.5-point favorites, a great margin. In their last ten games against Miami, they've gone 7-3, with a 6-4 record against the spread.

It also helps that Miami has been dealt so many injuries lately. With the Bucks only needing to cover a small spread, we'll take the Bucks -3.5 tonight.

Surprisingly enough, we'll also take the under 227 total in this game as well. This is mainly due to the injuries dealt to Miami.

With some of their best players out, including Kyle Lowry, they'll have a hard time scoring. Take the Milwaukee Bucks -3.5 and the under 227 tonight.

Prop Picks

Milwaukee (-110) OVER 115.5 Points

Milwaukee is averaging 113.6 points per game on offense, which ranks No. 5 in the league. That average has increased to 124.3 points over the last three games. Scores have gone OVER in eight of the Bucks’ last nine games overall.

With Dunkel predicting a Milwaukee victory by the score of 119-101, take the Bucks (-110) to finish OVER their Vegas team total of 115.5 points against the Heat.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (-115) OVER 28.5 Points

Antetokounmpo had just 26 points in his last game versus Charlotte on Monday. However, in the previous four games, the Greek Freak had averaged 35.25 points, including a 50-point outburst against the Pacers. In his 26 home games this season, Antetokounmpo is averaging 31.7 points per game compared to 27.0 on the road.

With Dunkel predicting Milwaukee to go OVER its team total tonight, take Antetokounmpo (-115) to lead the way and go OVER his Vegas total of 28.5 points against the Heat.
