Memphis Grizzlies at Minnesota Timberwolves Game 6 Betting Preview/Prop Picks
29 April 2022

After some last-minute heroics from Ja Morant, the Grizzlies stole Game 5 from Minnesota. Today, they head into Game 6 and have put the Timberwolves on the verge of elimination.
However, they have a few significant injuries tonight that could pose a problem for them. Without their starting center, can the Grizzlies find a way to slow down Karl-Anthony Towns?
The Timberwolves find themselves in a tough spot tonight. If they lose this game, that's it until next season. The good news is they're playing at home, which should give them a considerable boost.
A win tonight would force Game 7, where the Timberwolves would head back to Memphis. Still, that option is much better than losing the series tonight and going home for good.
Memphis Grizzlies: Expect a big game from Desmond Bane
The Grizzlies will be without Steven Adams tonight, a big piece of their defense and rebounding. Because of this, they'll need to focus on scoring, something they've been able to do easily this season.
However, you have to keep in mind that Ja Morant is going to receive extra attention tonight. This means one player from the Grizzlies is going to need to play a larger role.
We believe this player will be Desmond Bane, who has been a nightmare for the Timberwolves. Although Bane averages just 18.2 points per game, he's found gaps in Minnesota's defense. By exploiting these gaps, he's become a thorn in the side of Minnesota.
With their attention on Morant tonight, expect Bane to have a strong game. Perhaps even higher than his career-high.
Minnesota Timberwolves: "Hero-ball" won't win them this game
If the Timberwolves can't come together as a team here, they'll find themselves eliminated. Twice in this series, the Timberwolves have had a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter.
Somehow, they've found a way to squander it twice, which has put them in this situation. Now, with their backs against the wall, they'll need to secure a win at home to force Game 7.
Obviously, one of the biggest factors in this game is Karl-Anthony Towns. Since Steven Adams is out, Towns should be able to dominate the interior. If he can't, the Timberwolves need to reconsider their offensive game plan.
Getting a fast start tonight is the way the Timberwolves can win this game. If they fall behind early, the Grizzlies will likely run away with the game.
Memphis Grizzlies at Minnesota Timberwolves Betting Pick
The Grizzlies come in as narrow 1.5-point favorites here. Because of the small spread, this game is essentially a "pick 'em."
Memphis has shown the ability to rally in the fourth quarter, something Minnesota struggles with. They also have an incredible 26-16-1 record against the spread on the road.
Since they're the more trustworthy team, we'll take the Grizzlies to close the series here. They'll cover the spread, with the total going over 229.
Minnesota is 4-8 ATS in their last 12 games at home against Memphis. Take the Grizzlies to win tonight, ending this long and exciting series.
