Memphis Grizzlies at Los Angeles Lakers Game 6 Betting Preview

There are a pair of NBA Playoff games on the schedule on Friday night, and two home teams will be looking to close out a series. The Los Angeles Lakers host the Memphis Grizzlies for Game 6, and it is the Lakers that currently have a 3-2 series lead.
Memphis came into the playoffs as the number two seed in the Western Conference, but there were some questions with this team. The Grizzlies were able to keep their season alive with a Game 5 win, but they lost both games in Los Angeles earlier this series.
Los Angeles had an up-and-down regular season, but this team is playing its best basketball of the year. The Lakers are now just one win away from a First Round win, and they don’t want to send this series back to Memphis for a Game 7.
The Los Angeles Lakers are 4.5-point betting favorites in this matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 6.
Memphis Must Make Shots
If the Memphis Grizzlies are going to extend this series to a Game 7, then they are going to have to find a way to make some shots. Memphis has averaged just 106 points per game in the two losses in Los Angeles, and that’s not going to get the job done in this one.
Dillon Brooks has had a terrible time making shots in this series, and that has to change if this team is going to win games. Memphis should still get a big game from Ja Morant, but the Lakers will also be loading up to stop him.
The Grizzlies were terrific on defense in Game 5, as they held the Lakers to just 99 points in that game. Memphis will have to be physical yet again in this matchup, but they can’t get into early foul trouble.
LeBron Looking to Lead Lakers
LeBron James had just 15 points in the Game 5 loss for the Lakers, and he has vowed to play much better in this one. James has been the offensive leader for the Lakers this season, and he will be aggressive in this matchup.
Anthony Davis had 31 points and 19 rebounds in Game 5, and the Grizzlies don’t seem to have an answer for him in the paint. Los Angeles will try to establish the paint early in this one, but they can also make some shots.
Finding a way to slow down Ja Morant is going to be a big key in this matchup, and the Lakers have fared well in that department for much of the series. The Lakers will also have plenty of motivation as they will want to close this series out.
Lakers Roll Past Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies have not proven that they can beat the Lakers in Los Angeles, and that trend is going to continue in this game as well. Memphis just doesn’t have enough talent to get past Los Angeles, and the youth has been a major problem in this matchup.
LeBron James struggled mightily in the Game 5 loss, and he is going to come ready to play in this one. The Grizzlies should be able to keep this game close for three quarters, but they are going to fall apart late in this one.
Bet the Los Angeles Lakers -4.5 as they win this game by double-digits to move on into the next round of the NBA Playoffs.
