One start after throwing a complete game one-hitter, Washington's Max Scherzer outdid himself yesterday as he no-hit the Pirates in a 6-0 victory. Scherzer was one out away from the 22nd perfect game in MLB history when he hit the Bucs' Jose Tabata on the elbow. Unruffled, Scherzer proceeded to get Josh Harrison to fly out to left and preserve the Nationals second no-hitter in the last two seasons (Jordan Zimmermann tossed one at the end of last season). The Nats and Bucs will wrap up their series today in Washington and you can get our pick for this game and the full Father's Day MLB schedule by clicking on the Baseball icon above.
