The Marshall Thundering Herd celebrated their first-ever NCAA Tournament win when they knocked off Wichita State in the first round. That victory also set up an in-state battle today between Marshall and West Virginia. The two schools held an annual game in Charleston from 1192 to 2016, but the series was discontinued by the Mountaineers.
