A pair of recent Super Bowl champions are set to square off in Week 12 when the Kansas City Chiefs host the Los Angeles Rams. This game was highly-anticipated when the schedule came out, but that is no longer the case.
Los Angeles comes into this game with an overall record of 3-7, and they aren’t going to be making the playoffs in the NFC. The Rams have lost four straight games, and they are dealing with a ton of injuries.
Kansas City has rattled off four straight wins, and the Chiefs are starting to look like a Super Bowl contender again. The Chiefs are in a battle for the top spot in the AFC, and things are looking good.

Rams Can’t Find Offense
The Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl a season ago with an offense that could score points in a hurry and a defense that was dominant. Neither one of those units have performed as well this season, but it’s been the offense that has been the biggest disappointment.
The Rams come into this game scoring just 17 points per game, and they are averaging just 76 yards per game on the ground. Los Angeles will be without quarterback Matthew Stafford in this game, and that’s going to create a big hole.
This team is still holding opponents to less than 23 points per game, but the defense hasn’t been able to dominate opponents like it did a season ago.
Chiefs Must Get Stops
The Kansas City Chiefs have rattled off four straight wins, but there are still some areas of concern for this team. Kansas City is allowing over 23 points per game, and that puts too much pressure on the offense.
Patrick Mahomes and that offense haven’t exactly had a ton of issues this season, as they are scoring 30 points per game. Mahomes has thrown 28 touchdown passes this season, and Travis Kelce is still his favorite target.
Kelce is putting up huge numbers from the tight end position, as he has 855 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. Kansas City still needs to find a rushing attack, but they can rack up yards through the air.
Rams Compete with Chiefs in Loss
The Los Angeles Rams are coming into this game without most of their offensive stars, and they weren’t putting up a ton of offense even with those players. Los Angeles still has a number of great players on the defensive side of the football, and that unit will step up in this one.
Kansas City has a history of playing down to their opponent, and that will get them again in this one. At some point, the Chiefs are going to find a way to take control of this game, but it’s not going to be as easy as expected.
Take the 14.5 points and bet on the Los Angeles Rams, but it will be the Kansas City Chiefs that pick up the win in Week 12.
