Los Angeles Lakers at Golden State Warriors Betting Preview/Player Prop
15 March 2021

The Golden State Warriors host the Los Angeles Lakers in a Pacific Division rivalry game on Monday night. The Lakers and Warriors have been two of the most successful franchises in recent years, and they have also built up a nice rivalry.
Los Angeles was able to snap a brief two-game losing streak with a win over the Indiana Pacers in their last time out. The Lakers are currently in second place in the Pacific Division with a record of 25-13.
Golden State has lost four of their last five games, and they are a team that is heading in the wrong direction. The Warriors are still above .500 with a 20-19 record, but Golden State is in real danger of missing the playoffs.
The Los Angeles Lakers are 2.5-point favorites over the Golden State Warriors.
Lakers Doing it With Defense
The Los Angeles Lakers are allowing just 106.2 points per game, which is the second-best scoring average in the league. The Lakers are currently playing without Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol, but their defense has been able to lead them to victories.
LeBron James leads the way for this team on the offensive end of the floor, averaging 25.6 points and 7.8 assists per game. James could be on his way to another league MVP Award, especially if the Lakers win the Pacific Division.
Warriors Still Sharing the Ball
The Golden State Warriors have some major flaws this season, but they remain the best team in the league when it comes to sharing the basketball. Golden State is averaging 27.7 assists per game to lead the league, and that has helped them average 113.6 points per game.
Former MVP Stephen Curry is doing all he can for the Warriors, scoring more than 29 points per game and making plenty of big shots along the way. Andrew Wiggins has also been an important piece for the Warriors this season, but Golden State continues to look for more depth.
Champs Cruise over Curry, Warriors
Even though the Los Angeles Lakers are still without All-Star Anthony Davis, they are still the much better team in this matchup. Golden State is just an average NBA team this season, and Stephen Curry is still looking for more help.
Los Angeles is one of the best defensive teams in the league, and they will find a way to slow down Curry and the Warriors. The Lakers have gone an impressive 13-5 on the road already this season, and taking on the Warriors in Golden State won’t be much of a challenge.
LeBron James knows that now is the time for the Lakers to really get going in order to build up some momentum for the playoffs. Look for Los Angeles to play a great game against the Warriors as they take complete control in the fourth quarter.
Bet the Los Angeles Lakers -2.5 over the Golden State Warriors on Monday night.
Player Prop
Montrezl Harrell Over 15.5 Points
Injuries are piling up for the Lakers and Montrezl Harrell is expected to get starters minutes tonight. In a January matchup against the Warriors, Harrell had 17 points in 28 minutes.
Montrezl should be looking at 30 plus minutes tonight against a Golden State team that gives up the sixth most points in the paint this season.
With all these factors I expect Harrell to go over his points total of 15.5.
