LA Clippers at Milwaukee Bucks Betting Pick/Player Prop

We are nearing the halfway point in the NBA season, and playoff races are heating up throughout the league. Two of the top teams in the league will meet up on Sunday afternoon when the Milwaukee Bucks host the LA Clippers. 

LA comes into this game with a record of 24-11, and they are currently sitting atop the Pacific Division. The Clippers have gone just 3-3 in their last six games, but they were on a tear to begin the month of February. 

Milwaukee has now won four straight games, and they are starting to establish their dominance in the Central Division. The Bucks come into this game with a record 20-13, and they remain a favorite to win the Eastern Conference.

The Milwaukee Bucks are two-point favorites over the LA Clippers on Sunday. 

Clippers Must Defend

If the LA Clippers are going to pull off this slight upset on the road on Sunday, then it must start on the defensive end of the floor. LA is allowing just 109 points per game, and they have plenty of defenders to throw at Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Clippers are scoring better than 115 points per game, and the duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George is leading the way for this team. Leonard is scoring close to 27 points per game, and George has chipped in with nearly 24 points per night.

There are not many teams in the league that are better from the outside than LA as the team is shooting 42 percent from deep. If LA is shooting the ball well, then they are nearly impossible to beat. 

Bucks Remain Lethal on Offense

The Milwaukee Bucks are expected to get Jrue Holiday back in the lineup on Sunday, and that should make their offense even more lethal. Milwaukee is currently averaging 120.1 points per game, which is the second-best scoring average in the league.

Giannis Antetokounmpo once again leads the way for the Milwaukee Bucks, averaging 28.9 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game. There is a reason that he is the reigning NBA MVP and why the Bucks are considered an NBA title contender. 

Milwaukee does struggle to get stops at times, and that could be a problem in this matchup against the LA Clippers. 

Bucks Beat Up on Clippers

This should be an extremely high-scoring affair as the Milwaukee Bucks will push the tempo on Sunday afternoon. Milwaukee does struggle at times on the defensive end of the floor, but it will be their offense that dictates this game.

The Clippers have been on a tear of late, but playing the Bucks in Milwaukee is never easy for any team. Los Angeles will keep this game close for three quarters, but at some point, the Bucks and their offense will take over.

And those numbers have gone up in games when the point total is listed at over 230. In fact, in the last 4 Clipper games where the total stood at 230 or higher, Leonard has averaged a combined 42.75 Points+Rebounds+Assists. That included a pair of games last week when Leonard posted stat lines of 32-7-4 versus the Wizards and 29-13-3 versus the Nets. The Bucks defense can also have a hard time corraling a dymanic player like Leonard. In an earlier matchup this season against the Nets on January 18, Milwaukee allowed James Harden to post an eye-popping 52 combined Points+Rebounds+Assists.
