Two years ago, the San Jose Sharks were on the verge of advancing in the playoffs when they jumped out to a 3-0 series lead over the Los Angeles Kings. But the Kings stunned the Sharks and the hockey world by coming back to win the series and eventually their second Stanley Cup. The loss was so demoralizing for the Sharks that they missed the playoffs completely last season and only now seem to be coming back. But while they advanced to the playoffs this year, they have to face the Kings again in the first round. Tonight, the two will meet in Game 1 at the Staples Center.
