Kentucky Wildcats at Georgia Bulldogs Betting Preview

15 October 2021

A pair of undefeated SEC teams are set to meet up on Saturday afternoon for a game that will have a big impact on the standings. The Georgia Bulldogs host the Kentucky Wildcats, and both teams enter this weekend at 6-0.

Kentucky has been one of the most surprising teams in the SEC up to this point, but they look for real. The Wildcats just picked up wins over Florida and LSU in back-to-back weeks to climb up the rankings.

Georgia is now the number 1 team in the country after a loss by the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Bulldogs haven’t been tested much at all this season, especially when they are playing at home.

The Georgia Bulldogs are 23-point favorites over the Kentucky Wildcats in this SEC showdown.

Wildcats Want to Run

Kentucky comes into Saturday, averaging 214 rushing yards per game this season, and they have been running over opponents. The Wildcats are going to try to use that same strategy in this game as they also need to find a way to chew some clock.

Running back Chris Rodriguez has been the star for Kentucky up to this point, rushing for 768 yards and five touchdowns. The Wildcats are also going to have to find a way to hit on some deep passes on Saturday to keep that defense honest.

The Kentucky defense is holding opponents to just 17.5 points per game, but this will be the biggest test of the season.

Georgia Dominant on Defense

The numbers will tell you that this Georgia defense is one of the best all-time, but it’s also apparent when you tune in to watch the Bulldogs play. Georgia is allowing just 5.5 points per game this season, and they just completely smother their opponents.

The Bulldogs aren’t going to overwhelm any of their opponents with the offense, but they are still scoring close to 40 points per game. Running back Zamir White leads the team with 354 yards and six touchdowns, but Georgia will have other players that see some touches.

Quarterback Stetson Bennett has thrown eight touchdowns to just two interceptions this year, and the offense has received a boost since he took over the job.

Bulldogs Blowout Wildcats in Rout

This has been a great start to the season for the Kentucky Wildcats, and they are coming into this game with a ton of momentum. The problem for Kentucky is that they are seriously overmatched in this game, and it’s going to be hard for them to keep it close.

Georgia just hasn’t been giving up any points this season, and they will have an answer for the Kentucky rushing attack. The Bulldogs have an explosive offense of their own, and it should be another big day for that unit.

This game has the potential to get out of hand early as the top team in the country cruises again. Take the Georgia Bulldogs -23.0 as they win this game by close to four touchdowns.
