While the Warriors were taking care of business last night in Cleveland, the Giants and Dodgers kept the Bay area entertained with a hard-fought effort in their series opener. Clayton Kershaw and Johnny Cueto battled pitch-for-pitch before the Dodgers finally prevailed, 3-2, to cut the Giants lead in the NL West to three games. The two rivals will resume their series tonight in SF with Jeff Samardzija (7-4, 3.33) taking the mound for the Giants against the Dodgers' Scott Kazmir (5-3, 4.46).
