Kansas City Chiefs at Cincinnati Bengals Betting Preview
02 December 2022

The Kansas City Chiefs are easily one of the best teams in the NFL. With a high-scoring offense and a talented defense to match, they lead the AFC West.
Their record of 9-2 will be put on the line as they face the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend. After winning five games in a row, the Chiefs will look to continue their streak on Sunday afternoon.
The Cincinnati Bengals have a record of 7-4 and are 3-1 at home this season. There is some good news for Cincinnati, however, as Ja'Marr Chase could be back in the lineup. If he does return, QB Joe Burrow will have his reliable target back on the field.
The Bengals come in as 2.5-point underdogs, and we're going to look at each team and make our pick.
Kansas City Chiefs: Chiefs' offense looks to overwhelm Cincinnati
Averaging 29.6 points per game, the Kanas City Chiefs have the best offense in the NFL. Most of their scoring goes through the air, where they average 315.2 points per game.
Last week, they faced the Los Angeles Rams and won the game 26-10. Kansas City's offense was so efficient; they were up 20-3 at the end of the third quarter.
One thing that often gets overlooked is that the Chiefs' defense is pretty good. Back in October, they found a way to beat the San Francisco 49ers 44-23.
Holding the 49ers to just 23 points is pretty impressive; they also held the Tennessee Titans to 17 points. The question is, how will this defense fair against the Bengals?
Cincinnati Bengals: How will the Bengals fair this weekend?
There are a few things that the Bengals do rather well, and one of them is scoring. Averaging 25.9 points per game, the Bengals rank fifth in the NFL. Something we'd really like to see, especially this weekend, is them establish the running game.
They rank 27th in the NFL in rushing yards per game at 96.3. It would be helpful for them to establish this early.
The Bengals' defense allows an average of 21 points per game, ranking 13th overall. They've won their last three games this season, the most recent being against the Titans.
They beat the Titans 20-16 without some of their best offensive players. If Joe Mixon and Ja'Marr Chase return this weekend, they'll be in good shape against the Chiefs.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Cincinnati Bengals Betting Pick
Although the Chiefs are on a five-game winning streak, we think the buck stops here. Playing the Bengals at home will be tough, and we think they'll come away with this one. It'll likely be pretty close, however, which is why the 2.5-point spread will help.
Currently tied for the top spot in the AFC North, the Bengals desperately need a win. Because of this, we think they'll be able to claim a much-needed win this weekend. This is especially true if Chase and Mixon play this weekend.
