Kansas City at Arizona Betting Preview/Week 2 NFL Preseason Picks

Kansas City comes into this game with a 1-0 record in the preseason after picking up a win over the San Francisco 49ers. The Chiefs have been in the Super Bowl in each of the last two seasons, and this feels like it could be another terrific run.
Arizona barely missed out on the playoffs a season ago, and the Cardinals are looking to get back into playoff contention this season. The Cardinals also won their preseason opener, picking up a 19-16 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
The Kansas City Chiefs are 2.5-point favorites over the Arizona Cardinals in this NFL game on Friday night.
Chiefs Can Score
The Kansas City Chiefs scored just 19 points in the preseason opener, but this team should be one of the most explosive in the NFL. It’s unclear how many starters are going to take the field on Friday night, but this is a team that has a ton of depth at the skilled position.
Head coach Andy Reid loves to push the tempo on offense, and the Chiefs are going to take some chances. Arizona is not a team with a dominating defense, which could lead to some big plays for Kansas City.
In recent years, the defense has been much better than average for the Chiefs, but that unit still isn’t as dominant as the offense. If Kansas City can get some stops, then they are always tough to beat.
Defense Key For Arizona
Arizona brought in linebacker J.J. Watt this offseason to help improve the defense, and that should pay big dividends. The Cardinals were solid on defense in the preseason opener, but they are also facing a much more explosive offense in this game.
Quarterback Kyler Murray has been impressive since coming into the NFL, but now is a chance for him to really take control of this offense. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is currently dealing with a minor injury, but that combination will be tough to stop when the regular season begins.
KC Wins Again
The Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the best teams in the NFL over the last few years, and it’s very rare to see them lose a game. Even though this game doesn’t count for the regular season standings, Kansas City just always seems to find a way to win.
Arizona is a team that is looking to be in the playoff push this season, but the Cardinals still have some work to do. The Cardinals are a team that has some terrific talent, but they just don’t have as much depth as the Chiefs.
This should be a high-scoring affair on Friday night, but it will be the defense of the Chiefs that comes up with a late stop to secure the win. Bet the Kansas City Chiefs -2.5 on Friday night, while also taking the over 41 points in this matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.
