When teams are struggling in the present, sometimes it can get some inspiration from looking at the past. That's certainly the hope of Mariners fans, who have suffered through a 2-8 start from a team expected to compete in the AL West. But yesterday they relived a little of their past glory by unveiling a bronze statue of Ken Griffey Jr. outside Safeco Field. Whether that will trigger a Seattle turnaround will be on display tonight as the Mariners open a series with the Texas Rangers.
