While Jameis Winston posed some challenges off the field for Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher, there was no denying his success on the field. A national championship followed by a trip to the first FBS playoff had the Seminoles back at the top of the college football landscape, something that hadn't been the case since the heydays of Bobby Bowden. But now Fisher has the challenge of trying to continue those winning ways without Winston. The void was made somewhat easier to fill when Notre Dame QB Everett Golson decided to transfer to Tallahassee. The verdict so far has been solid as Golson has completed nearly 65 percent of his passes with 5 TDs against 0 INTs while leading the 'Noles to wins over Texas State and South Florida. But the competition should get ratcheted up a notch tonight as FSU heads to Boston College to open the ACC schedule.
