Iowa Hawkeyes vs Purdue Boilermakers Betting Preview/Prop Pick

It’s Selection Sunday for college basketball, but there are still some championships that need to be delivered. The Iowa Hawkeyes take on the Purdue Boilermakers in the Big Ten Championship Game, and this should be a terrific battle. 

Iowa comes into this game with an overall record of 25-9, and they look to be playing their best basketball of the season. The Hawkeyes got past the Indiana Hoosiers in the semifinals on a last-second shot from Jordan Bohanon. 

Purdue comes into this game with a record of 27-6, and they have been one of the best teams in the country all season. The Boilermakers did not win the regular-season crown, but they are looking to prove their greatness in the conference tournament. 

The Purdue Boilermakers are two-point favorites over the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Big Ten Championship Game.

Hawkeyes Can Really Score

The Iowa Hawkeyes are one of the most explosive offensive teams in the country, and they will try to win this game by shooting the ball from deep. Iowa is averaging over 84 points per game this season, but they are capable of putting up 100 points on any given night.

The Purdue Boilermakers have been one of the betting favorites to win the NCAA Tournament all season long, and they are starting to look like that team. Purdue struggled a bit against Big Ten teams this season, but this is a team that has few weaknesses. 

The Boilermakers are scoring over 80 points per game this season, and they are holding opponents to less than 69 points per game. It will be the defense for Purdue that will have to take over this matchup with Iowa. 

Jaden Ivey leads the team with over 17 points per game, and he will be looking to put on a show in the Big Ten Championship Game.

Iowa was able to make enough shots to win the semifinal game over Indiana, but they didn’t play well in all areas of that game. The Hawkeyes are going to be looking to play fast in this one, and that’s a dangerous strategy against a team like Purdue.

Purdue has been one of the best teams in the country this season, and they just have so many terrific players. The Boilermakers can score in a number of ways, and they will also play terrific defense to shut down the Hawkeyes.
