It was a rough start to the MLB season yesterday for the San Diego Padres, to say the least. Already facing reigning NL Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw, San Diego's pitching was pummeled for 17 hits and 15 runs, resulting in a 15-0 whitewash that represents the most lopsided finish to an opening game in MLB history. San Diego doesn't have much time to lick its wounds as the Padres take on the Dodgers again tonight and will hope for better results from starter James Shields as he faces LA's Scott Kazmir.
