Golden State Warriors at Utah Jazz Betting Preview
07 December 2022

The Golden State Warriors are in a bit of a tough spot right now. Several players have been ruled out, including Draymond Green and Stephen Curry.
They’ll head to Utah to face the Jazz after coming off a 112-104 loss to the Indiana Pacers. With an overall record of 13-12 this season, they’ll look to pick up another road win.
The Utah Jazz has a record of 2-3 over their last five games this season. They have an overall record of 14-12 with a record of 8-4 at home. A few nights ago, the Jazz lost 116-111 to the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Jazz come into the game as the favorites, and they’ve done rather well against the spread. Can they get another win at home and cover the spread?
Golden State Warriors: Can the Warriors overcome the injuries?
The Golden State Warriors are dealing with several injuries as they head into this game. With Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins out, they’re in some trouble.
Curry leads the team with 30 points per game, so his absence will be noticeable. Wiggins actually leads the team in field-goal percentage at 51.1%, and he leads the team in steals.
If the Warriors are going to win this game, they’ll need to overcome these injuries. The last game they won was when Andrew Wiggins and Stephen Curry were playing.
Without these two, it’ll be much harder for their offense to put up points. This season, the Warriors average 117.2 points per game. Without Wiggins, Green, and Curry, however, that average will go down.
Utah Jazz: Jazz looking to climb their division with a win
The Utah Jazz have a record of 14-12 and are third in the Northwest. Not long ago, the Jazz went on a five-game losing streak before beating the Los Angeles Clippers.
A few nights ago, however, they lost 116-111 to the Portland Trail Blazers. In that game, they allowed Anfernee Simons to score 33 points in the first half.
This season, the Utah Jazz are averaging 117.7 points per game and are led by Lauri Markkanen. Markkanen averages 22.2 points per game, while Jordan Clarkson leads the team with 4.8 assists.
Considering the Warriors are dealing with so many injuries, it’s not a surprise that Utah is favored. The question is, can they cover the spread tonight?
Golden State Warriors vs. Utah Jazz Betting Pick
The Utah Jazz comes into this game as 7.5-point favorites. This season, they’ve done pretty well against the spread, but this margin is quite large. The Jazz has gone 2-6 in their last eight games this season, so keep that in mind.
The Golden State Warriors have gone 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games. In their last seven meetings against the Utah Jazz, they’re 5-1-1 against the spread. Although they’re missing quite a few players, we’ll take them +7.5.
We’d also recommend taking the under since they’re missing some of their best scorers.
