Golden State Warriors at Utah Jazz Betting Preview/Prop Pick

The Golden State Warriors have got quite the win streak going for them right now. They’ve won nine straight games with their recent win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Tonight, they’ll face off against the No.4 team in the Western Conference, the Utah Jazz. Rudy Gobert is still listed as “out” which is a good sign for the Warriors. Golden State is missing a few players as well. 

Utah has put together a three-game win streak after their win over the Knicks. Through the last three wins, their most prominent one was against the Brooklyn Nets. Even without Rudy Gobert, the Utah Jazz is performing quite well. Donovan Mitchell has led his team to a 33-21 record and has one of the best offenses in the NBA. They’ll get a chance to prove this offense again today.

Golden State Warriors: Searching For 10th Straight Win

Only a few teams have been able to string together this amount of wins in a row. Not long ago, the Phoenix Suns put together a long win streak and now the Warriors plan to. It’s no surprise that they’re winning these games with the kind of offense they have. On average, the Warriors are putting up 110.93 points per game. They’re also shooting 36.37% from beyond the arc. 

Perhaps more surprising is how great the Warriors’ defense is. They rank second in the NBA in points allowed per game at 102.59. With an offensive and defensive combination like this, it’s no shocker that they’re winning games. The question is, can they get a win over the Jazz who have the number one offense in the NBA? We’ll just have to see how well the Warriors’ defense holds.

Utah Jazz: Mitchell Making His Mark

The Utah Jazz have an 18-10 record at home this season, which is pretty good. However, the Warriors haven’t failed on the road very often this season. The Jazz is hosting a team that has gone 16-9 on the road this year. In the last ten meetings between these two, the games are split 5-5. Golden State has a slight edge against the spread at 5-4-1 in their last ten games played.

Now, that isn’t to say the Jazz don’t have a chance at winning this game. However, it’ll be tough to stop the shooting of the Warriors. The Jazz has a pretty good defense, ranking 12th in the NBA. If they can limit the open looks the Warriors get from beyond the arc, the Jazz could win this one. More importantly, they need to take advantage of the injuries dealt to the Warriors.

The Warriors have better shooters and play better defense than the Jazz, this much is true. However, they’re heading into Utah to face the No.1 offense in the NBA. Klay Thompson will be sidelined along with Draymond Green of Golden State, giving the Jazz a perfect chance to win. If they can use these injuries to their advantage, they’ll cover the three-point spread.

Make a note that the total has gone over in eight of Utah's last nine games against Golden State. Both of these teams have good defenses, but their offenses are much stronger.
