Dunkel Pick: Golden State (+2 ½); Over
The NBA has already had some remarkable games, but this one is a must-watch. The Golden State Warriors will head to Phoenix to face Devin Booker and the Suns.
Although they’ll be without a few players, the Warriors are still 2-1. This is their first game on the road this season, however, so how will they fare? Beating the Phoenix Suns won’t be an easy task to complete.
The Phoenix Suns have a 2-1 record as well and are 1-0 at home. They’ll have a player sidelined for tonight, but it shouldn’t impact much. They’re coming off a 112-95 win over the LA Clippers just a few nights ago.
We wonder if the momentum will carry into a game against the team that has ruled the Western Conference. Let’s look at each team and make our pick.
Golden State Warriors: Warriors need to score fast and often
The Warriors have recently been known as a high-scoring team, and this year is no different. On average, this team is scoring 125.3 points per game.
Leading the group is Stephen Curry, which is no surprise. Curry averages 33.3 points per game and is shooting 47% from the field. They’ll need a lot of help from Curry as they face the Suns’ defense and Chris Paul.
Leading the team in rebounds, steals, and blocks is Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins has emerged as a star himself this season, contributing in various ways.
His 6.3 rebounds per game and 2.3 steals will be helpful against the Suns’ offense. Creating scoring opportunities for his team is what will ensure a win. Still, the Suns won’t go down without a fight.
Phoenix Suns: Suns offense needs to come alive tonight
One area where the Phoenix Suns can definitely improve is on offense. To be fair, they’re winning games, which is the important part.
However, they’re only averaging 110 points per game, which isn’t indicative of all the talent they have. Leading the group is Devin Booker, who averages 32 points per game. So far, he has a remarkable field-goal percentage at 53.1%.
The Suns are coming off a big win over the Los Angeles Clippers just a few nights ago. They beat LA 112-95, a game in which Booker put up 35 points.
Prior to their win over the Clippers, however, they lost on the road to the Portland Trail Blazers. Keeping that in mind should help us decide who to take in this game. In our opinion, the choice is pretty clear.
Golden State Warriors vs. Phoenix Suns Betting Pick
The Phoenix Suns are a strong team, but they’ve had trouble scoring this season. After their loss to the Trail Blazers, we think it’s a much better choice to take the Warriors. Phoenix’s offense is the problem, and we don’t think they’ll be able to keep up.
The Warriors are putting up over 125 points per game and averaging 40 rebounds per game as well. In each of their last three games, they’ve scored over 120, and at one point, they put up 130. Even if the game stays close, the Warriors are +2.5, making them our pick for this game.

Prop Picks
Golden State (-120) OVER 112.5 Points
Golden State is averaging 125.3 points per game on offense this season. Scores have OVER in 13 of the Warriors’ last 19 road games versus a team with a winning home record.
With Dunkel predicting a Golden State win by the score of 119-111, take the Warriors (-120) to finish OVER their Vegas team total of 112.5 points versus the Suns.
Devin Booker (-130) OVER 26.5 Points
Booker is averaging 32.0 points per game this season, which ranks No. 3 in the NBA. Golden State is allowing 120.7 points per game on defense, which ranks No. 25 in the NBA.
With Dunkel predicting the final score going OVER the Vegas total, take Booker (-130) to finish OVER 26.5 points against the Warriors.
