Golden State Warriors at Phoenix Suns Betting Preview

25 December 2021

Saturday, December 25th Golden State Warriors @ Phoenix Suns

We've got an incredible Christmas Day game scheduled between the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns. Golden State is on a two-game win streak and is nearly tied with the suns atop the Western Conference.

For them to get a leg up, they'll need to land a big win against the Suns on Saturday. We all know that the Phoenix Suns won't go down easy, especially at home.

The Phoenix Suns are 26-5 and in control of the Western Conference. However, the Golden State Warriors are right behind them and threatening to take over. There are a few players out on both sides of the ball, so that'll be important to note.

Before we give you our pick for this game, let's take a look at what each team brings to the contest. We'll start off with Golden State.

Golden State Warriors: Three players currently on quarantine status

Unfortunately for the Warriors, they'll be missing a few key players on Saturday. The players quarantined are Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, and Damion Lee.

Andrew Wiggins plays a large role in the Warriors' offense and will be sorely missed. They'll still have the best three-point shooter in the entire NBA in their lineup. Hopefully, Stephen Curry can carry his team to a win.

It'll be a tough test for the Warriors to take on the third-best scoring offense in the NBA. The good news for the Warriors is that they currently have the No.1 defense.

The biggest problem for the Warriors is that they'll be lacking depth. With the players that are out, the starters will have to play incredibly well. It'll take a lot of work to stop the Phoenix Suns' five-game win streak.

Phoenix Suns: Three players are currently out with knee injuries

The Phoenix Suns are struggling with injuries as well, just not to their major players. Currently, three players are out with knee injuries. This shouldn't impact the game too much for the Suns, though, who still have an incredible lineup.

Devin Booker and Chris Paul should be able to handle themselves against the Warriors. This is as long as they can stop Stephen Curry.

The Warriors have the number six three-point percentage in the NBA. If the Suns want to win this game, they'll need to focus on shutting down Stephen Curry.

Curry is the best three-point shooter in the NBA, and stopping him is priority number one. With how many players are out of the Warriors lineup, the Suns can focus on Curry. So, who's the best team to pick here.

Our pick for the Golden State Warriors at Phoenix Suns

The Warriors come into this game as 6.5-point underdogs, which isn't surprising. With how many players are listed out, that'll be a tough one to overcome.

Against the spread, the Warriors are 7-6-1 on the road. The total has also gone under in 10 of Golden State's last 15 games. That being said, we'll take the Suns over the Warriors here.

At home, the Phoenix Suns have gone 4-1 against the spread in their last five games. Another interesting trend to note is that ten of the Suns' last eleven games against Golden State have gone under. Making it a much easier decision to take the Suns in this one.
