Golden State Warriors at Milwaukee Bucks Betting Preview/Prop Pick

13 January 2022

The Milwaukee Bucks have a forecast 62% chance to win against The Golden State Warriors with a spread of -3.5/3.5 and an over/under of 229.0. The Milwaukee Bucks are 0 - 0 against The Golden State Warriors in the 2021-22 Season.

Thursday, January 13th Golden State Warriors @ Milwaukee Bucks

Some are beginning to worry about the Golden State Warriors and their recent skid. In their last four games, the Warriors have gone 1-3. There are also some questions surrounding Stephen Curry and his shot selection.

However, they’re still sitting near the top of the Western Conference, just a game behind the Suns. Tonight, they take on the Milwaukee Bucks.

Milwaukee has dealt with its own struggles through the last five games. With a 1-4 record in their last five, taking on the Warriors couldn’t come at a worse time. They’ve fallen to the No.4 spot in the Eastern Conference and are still missing a few key players.

Can they get a win over the Warriors tonight? More importantly, between these two, whose the best team to place a bet on?

Golden State Warriors: Still the team to beat in the West?

This is a question many fans and analysts are beginning to ask. The Warriors seem out of sync, and with Draymond Green out, the leadership is missing. Now, once he’s back in the lineup, we expect a massive change; until then, more of the same.

They did get Klay Thompson back, which is great, and we hope to see him make an impact. Especially against the Bucks tonight.

The Warriors are small underdogs in this game, which really isn’t much of a surprise. They’re still one of the best shooting teams in the NBA, shooting 46.86% from the field.

They’ll hope to get this train back on the rails, but the Bucks defense can be stingy. Giannis Antetokounmpo is also back in the Bucks lineup, and without Draymond there, the Warriors are in serious trouble.

Milwaukee Bucks: The Bucks come off a second straight loss

The Bucks lost two straight games to the same team, the Charlotte Hornets. Although both of these games were on the road, it’s still shocking it happened twice. It seems that Jrue Holiday and George Hill being out is more important than we might’ve thought.

Unfortunately for the Bucks, each of them is out again tonight. So, how can the Bucks stop the Warriors shooters?

Well, for starters, it seems that Stephen Curry isn’t picking his shots well right now. The slump he’s in could be exactly what the Bucks need. It also could be a problem considering Curry is known to get hot out of nowhere.

The good news for the Bucks is with Antetokounmpo in the lineup; he’ll make a huge impact. Especially since Draymond Green has been ruled out tonight.

Our pick for the Golden State Warriors at Milwaukee Bucks

This is going to be an intense game, but we believe the Warriors actually have the advantage. With George Hill and Jrue Holiday out, stopping Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson will be tough for the Bucks. Although the Warriors are narrow underdogs, they have a much better record against the spread.

This season, the Warriors have gone 23-15-2 against the spread this season. Sure, they’ve lost a few games recently, but we think they’ll get it back on track here. Look for the Warriors to win this game and cover the +2 point spread.

Prop Pick

Milwaukee (-120) UNDER 112.5 Points

The Warriors are allowing an average of 101.3 points per game this season, which ranks No. 1 in the league. That average has dipped down to 99.5 points over Golden State’s last four games.

The Bucks are averaging 111.8 points per game on offense, which ranks No. 5 in the league. In Milwaukee’s last four losses to Charlotte, Toronto and Detroit, they averaged just 105.5 points per game.

With Dunkel predicting a Golden State win by the score of 107-106, take the Bucks (-120) to finish UNDER the Vegas team total of 112.5 points.
