Go Bowling 235 Betting Preview
12 August 2020

NASCAR heads to Daytona Florida for the Go Bowling 235. This race should get going Sunday afternoon, and it sees all of the best racers in the sport getting together. Chase Elliott has won it the past two seasons, with Martin Truex Jr. coming out on top the previous season. We have a look at the betting odds and a few of our picks with the Go Bowling 235 Betting Preview:
Chase Elliott +350
Looking for back to back to back. While Elliott has the ability to do just that, it’s not an easy task. There are many things that still need to go your way to win a race like this. Elliott has won just one race in 22 starts this season. That win came back in May in Charlotte. But, if there was one track to bet him at it’s here in Daytona.
Martin Truex Jr +500
The #19 Bass Pro Shops car is going to be ready to go. Truex would love to get back the title that he held following the 2017 race. The 40 year old has 13 career wins, and 61 times he has been in the Top 10. There is no doubt that Truex has turned into one of the most elite racers.
Kevin Harvick +600
What a season Harvick is having. He leads the NASCAR drivers in first place finishes with 6 this season. Harvick does not fall back from the pack very often. The driver of the #4 Ford car comes into the event with back to back wins. Those wins came at Michigan, despite starting 20th and 3rd. Harvick is always a great bet to win any race.
Denny Hamlin +600
The 39 year old has a little bit of a local feel to it. While Tampa is not right next door to Daytona, it’s not very far. Hamlin would love to come away with a win in front of his home state. Hamlin has 17 wins in his career, and the next time he finishes inside the Top 10, it will be 100. Hamlin has won the last two Daytona 500 events, and has 3 total wins. This would be our top betting pick, as +600 seems like a steal for the guy we like the most.
Joey Logano +1600
The Team Penske #22 car comes in as one of the underdogs, but there is no underdog thinking from this racer. Logano has 2 wins in 22 starts this season, and 6 times in the Top 10. Logano has finished in the Top 6 in his last three races. Look for him to be pushing the leaders throughout the race, and he will have a chance to take down the title late.
Others in Consideration:
All of the following guys are a little further down the betting odds. You never know who will win one of these events, but these are guys that can certainly pick it up and grab a title:
Kurt Busch +2000
Jimmie Johnson +4000
Ryan Newman +8000
Enjoy the race this weekend, and best of luck with all your betting for the event. We look forward to seeing how this race finishes up, and which racer takes down Daytona!
