Georgia Bulldogs at Tennessee Volunteers Betting Preview

Georgia has now won three straight games to improve their record to 5-6 in SEC action. The Bulldogs are looking for a marquee win to add to their NCAA Tournament resume, and a win over the Volunteers would be just the ticket.

Tennessee has gone just 3-3 in their last six games, and they are looking to build up some momentum heading into March. The Volunteers are ranked 16 in the latest AP poll, and they bring a 6-4 SEC record into this matchup on Wednesday night.

The Georgia Bulldogs are averaging more than 77 points per game this season, and this team has been scoring at an even higher clip of late. Georgia does not have a real superstar on this roster, but they have been able to make shots during this recent winning streak.

Guard Sahvir Wheeler leads the Bulldogs with 13.6 points per game, and he also runs the offense with more than 7 assists per night. The Bulldogs are shooting just 33 percent from deep, but they will have to continue making shots to keep up with Tennessee. 

Defense has been an issue at times for Georgia as they have allowed more than 75 points per game. Georgia will need to find a way to get some stops if they want to keep this game close against Tennessee. 

Tennessee Has Plenty of Depth

The strength of this Tennessee team has been their incredible depth, and they are also an elite defensive team. Tennessee is allowing less than 60 points per game, and they have been able to slow down some explosive offensive teams this season.

Tennessee has four different players averaging more than 10 points per game, and they have seemingly found a new hero every single night. The Volunteers are shooting just 34 percent from the three-point line, but there are several players that can really shoot the ball.

The Volunteers don’t want to turn this game into a track meet, and they want to use their defense to slow this one down. Look for Tennessee to get great shots on offense and wear down the Georgia Bulldogs. 

Volunteers Blow Out Conference Rival

Georgia comes into this game with plenty of momentum, but they have not had any time to prepare for the Volunteers. Tennessee has a very deep and experienced team, and that will come into play on Wednesday night.

There should be plenty of points scored in this game, but that plays right into the hands of the Volunteers. Look for Tennessee to take control of this one in the second half as they are able to cruise to victory and do so in blowout fashion.
