The SEC continues to be the best conference in the sport of college football, and they also have the best team. The Georgia Bulldogs are that team, and they head on the road to take on the Missouri Tigers in Week 5.

Georgia comes into this game with a perfect 4-0 record, and they have been outsourcing opponents by over 34 points per game. This team did struggle a bit against Kent State in Week 4, but don’t expect them to struggle again in this game.

Missouri comes into this game with a record of 2-2, and they have not been a great college football team over the last few years. The Tigers suffered a brutal loss on the road at Auburn in Week 4, but they were at least competitive in the loss.

The Georgia Bulldogs are massive 28-point betting favorites over the Missouri Tigers in this game.

Bennett Carrying the Bulldogs

Stetson Bennett is putting up big passing numbers for the Georgia Bulldogs despite just having five touchdown passes. Bennett has also added in some big runs this season, and his play has propelled the Bulldogs to a 4-0 start.

Georgia is averaging 350 passing yards per game, but the run game hasn’t been as dominant this season. It might not matter against a team like Missouri, but at some point, they have to find some more balance.

The defense for Georgia has still been remarkable as they are giving up just eight points per game. Georgia did allow 22 points to Kent State in Week 4, and they need to bounce back.

Tigers Must Run Often

If the Missouri Tigers want any chance of winning this game, then they have to run the football a ton. Missouri is averaging 185 rushing yards per game, but they will need that total to be over 200 on Saturday.

Quarterback Brady Cook also has to make better decisions with the football as he has thrown four interceptions this season. Don’t be surprised to see Missouri be extremely conservative against an aggressive Georgia defense.

Missouri is allowing 24.5 points per game, and that could become a problem against a Georgia team that is capable of hitting some big plays.

Tigers Go Down Fighting

The Missouri Tigers do have the ability to score, and they should be able to find some holes in the mighty Georgia defense. Missouri just doesn’t have the talent to keep up for four quarters, but they can provide a bit of a threat at home.

The Georgia passing attack has been tremendous, but this team still needs to find a way to run the ball better. Ultimately it will be the Georgia defense that takes control of this one, but things won’t be easy on the road.

Take the 28 points and bet on the Missouri Tigers to keep it closer than expected, but it will be Georgia that picks up the win. As long as Missouri can force Georgia to grind out some long drives, then they will have a chance to keep it close.

Prop Picks

Missouri (-130) OVER 12.5 Points

Missouri averaged 26.6 points per game on offense last season, which ranked No. 69 in the FBS. That average has remained relatively steady at 26.0 points per game so far this season.

With Dunkel predicting a Georgia win by the score of 37-20, take the Tigers (-130) to finish OVER their Vegas team total of 12.5 points against the Bulldogs.
