The next superspeedway race for the NASCAR Cup Series takes place in Talladega. Many drivers are favored to win, but will another underdog surprise with a victory?
There are a few drivers that come to mind, but anything is possible this season. Check out below which drivers have the best chance to win.
Race Details
Date: Sun, Apr 24, 2:00 PM
Watch on: FOX
Track: Talladega Superspeedway
Betting Overview
Out of the favorites to potentially win here, not many of them have a great history at this event. Despite having 33 percent of races this season won by an outsider, this is a track where you should bet on a favorite.
Even though the long-shot odds might be appealing for some drivers, this track predominantly has the usual suspects succeed. However, there might be a few to consider.
Head to Head Matchup to Watch
Ryan Blaney (163.435) and Chase Elliott (164.761) are the two drivers that you are going to want to watch. Both drivers take the top two spots for the Cup Series rankings.
Elliot only has one superspeedway victory in his career, while Blaney has won two out of the last five in Talladega. Blaney has the advantage here.

Drivers That Could Win
Bubba Wallace (172.601) is a great option for the value, especially since his last three top-five finishes have been at tracks just like this. He had a runner-up finish back at Coke Zero Sugar 400 in August last year.
Wallace won the fall Talladega race last year and came in second last month in Atlanta. He has the best combo for recent success and history.
Ryan Blaney (163.435) has won two out of the previous five Talladega's. He also has a win at Daytona for the season finale race, which is a similar event.
He is arguably a beast on superspeedway tracks and has two consecutive top-five results. Overall, he has four consecutive top 10 finishes.
Potential Winning Pick
Brad Keselowski (165.895) has the best opportunity to win out of the favorites. He, too, has a great combination of recent success and value to his name.
He has six career victories at Talladega, which includes his recent spring race last year. In addition, he was runner-up for the fall race.
Keselowski won the Duel in Daytona back in February and happened to have the most laps led in the Daytona 500. With all of those reasons combined, he presents an appealing resume to win here.
