Week 1 of the college football season is off to a fast start, and there have already been some memorable games. That should continue on Sunday night as the Florida State Seminoles, and LSU Tigers are set to match up.
Florida State has already picked up a win as they took on Duquesne in Week 0 and blew them out. The Seminoles know that they will be facing a much tougher task against an SEC opponent.
The Brian Kelly era officially begins at LSU on Sunday night, and this program has some extremely high expectations. LSU struggled a season ago, but they have enough talent to turn this thing around in a hurry.

Florida State Wants to Score
Florida State is a team that has some question marks on both sides of the football, but they are a team that wants to play fast and put up some points. The Seminoles scored 47 points in the Week 0 win and trying to outscore LSU will be their best option in this one.
Quarterback Jordan Travis threw for over 200 yards a week ago, and he can also be a threat to run the football at that position. Florida State has a number of athletes that are tough to tackle in open space, and they will put pressure on the LSU defense.
The defense for the Seminoles was strong in Week 0, but that unit will now have to prove it can get it done against an SEC opponent.
LSU Has New Talent
Head coach Brian Kelly went out and hit up the transfer portal hard after taking the job at LSU, and there will be several new faces on the football field. This LSU team really struggled to score against the better SEC teams a season ago, and the defense was a complete disaster.
Look for the Tigers to come out and run the football in this game in an attempt to chew up some clock. LSU won’t be afraid to take some shots down the field, but they don’t want this game to turn into a shootout.
The secondary for LSU is going to be tested on Saturday night, and that unit has to find a way to hold up against Florida State.
Tigers Take Care of Business
This should be a terrific battle on Sunday night as both teams could really use this win to get their season headed in the right direction. Florida State might have the more talented team overall, but playing in the state of Louisiana is not going to be a fun task.
LSU is going to have to find a way to put some points on the board throughout this game, but the defense will hold up throughout. This game is going to be tight, but eventually, the Tigers are going to be able to start pulling away.
