FCS Picks/Week 6

Week 6 of the FCS college football schedule kicks off on Friday with a contest in the MEAC between the Morgan State Bears and the Howard Bison. Game time is 8:00 pm ET at Howard’s William H. Greene Stadium.

This will be the conference opener for both teams after going a combined 1-8 in non-conference games. Howard (1-4) opened the season with a 22-17 win over Sacred Heart, but has dropped four straight since. The Bison are coming off a 38-14 loss at Richmond that saw them outgained by the Spiders, 530-348.

Morgan State (0-4) is still in search of its first win after falling to Towson last week, 31-0. The Bears also had trouble generating much offense as they were outgained 412-142 by the Tigers and picked up only 7 first downs compared to Towson’s 23.

Dunkel has Howard taking advantage of the home field to pull out the victory and cover the Vegas line of 4 ½.  The offenses should continue to struggle, keeping the final score under the Vegas total of 53 ½.
