A battle of top teams in the Missouri Valley Conference takes place this afternoon as South Dakota State and Missouri State meet. Kick off is 3:00 pm ET at Plaster Stadium in Springfield, Missouri.

Vegas has South Dakota State favored by 2 points with an over/under set at 54.5 points.

The Bears (2-1) looked primed to pull off a major upset last week when they went up 17-0 over Arkansas and still led 27-17 in the fourth quarter. But the Razorbacks scored the last three TDs to prevail, 38-27. Missouri State’s two victories this season have come against Central Arkansas and UT-Martin.

The Jackrabbits (2-1) only loss this season also came against an FBS school as they fell to Iowa, 7-3, in the opener. SDSU’s defense held the Hawkeyes to just 10 first downs and 166 total yards, while also forcing two turnovers. The Jackrabbits bounced back from that loss to beat UC-Davis and Butler the last two weeks.
