FCS Picks/Week 6

The Montana State Bobcats play their homecoming game today against the Cal Poly Mustangs in a Big Sky Conference contest. Game time is 4:00 pm ET at Bobcat Stadium.

The Bobcats (4-1, 2-0) lost to FBS Wyoming, 19-16, in the season-opener, but have dominated their FCS competition since. In the last four games, Montana State has outscored the opposition 167-41 and is coming off a 40-7 victory over Northern Colorado.

It’s been the exact opposite for Cal Poly (1-4, 0-2), which opened the season with a 28-17 win over San Diego, but has lost its last four by a combined 188-38. The Mustangs are coming off a 38-7 loss to Weber State that saw Jackson Pavitt become the team’s fourth starting QB this season.

The Bobcats have won the last three in the series and Dunkel has them making it four straight while also covering the Vegas line of 29.  MSU’s defense should also dominate the struggling Mustang offense and keep the final score under the Vegas total of 59 ½.
