While the NHL wanted to ensure that the Vegas Golden Knights had an adequate stock of decent players in their first year of existence, no one could have imagined that they'd make it all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals. But that's where the Knights find themselves as just the second expansion team (the 1968 St. Louis Blues were the other) to make the Stanley Cup in their first year. Vegas will open the series tonight at home against the Eastern Conference-champion Washington Capitals and you can get the Index' pick by clicking HERE.

In the NBA, one-half of the finals is set with Cleveland advancing last night over Boston. The Western Conference champ will be determined tonight as the Golden State Warriors head to Houston to play the Rockets. To get the Index' pick, click HERE.
