Eagles Have Landed

07 October 2018

It didn't take long for the Philadelphia Eagles to come back down to earth after their surprising run to the Super Bowl last year. A loss to Tampa Bay in Week 2 was compounded by a defensive meltdown in OT last week against the Titans that resulted in a 26-23 defeat and left the Birds with a 2-2 record (No. 2 in Dunkel's NFL rankings). They'll try to regroup today as they meet a struggling Minnesota Vikings team (1-2-1; No. 16) in a rematch of last year's NFC Championship game. The Dodgers totally shut down the Atlanta Braves in taking the first two games of their division series at home by a combined score of 9-0. They'll go for the sweep tonight in Atlanta with Walker Buehler (8-5, 2.62) taking the mound against the Braves' Sean Newcomb (12-9, 3.90). In the NHL, the rebuilding NY Rangers have dropped their first two contests of the year and will be in search of their first victory as they travel to Carolina tonight to face the Hurricanes. To get Dunkel's pick for this game and the full NHL schedule, click HERE.

Matchweek 8 in the English Premier League continues with three matches on the schedule capped off by Manchester City (6-0-1; No. 2 in Dunkel's Premier League rankings) facing Liverpool (6-0-1; No. 1). To get Dunkel's pick for this game and the full Premier League schedule, click HERE.
