Drydene 311 Betting Preview

20 August 2020

Another weekend - another race. NASCAR heads to the Dover International Speedway, also known as the Monster Mile. The Drydene 311 will take place, with the best racers in the world getting together. Kyle Larson came away the winner last season, with Chase Elliott coming in the previous season as the winner. A trio of popular names are at the top of the odds, with the 2015 and 2016 winners. Let’s take a look at our Drydene 311 Betting Preview:

Kevin Harvick +350

There is probably not a better racer in the world right now. Despite saying that though - his first place start a week ago, led to a 17th place finish. THat was his worst finish since June 14th when he went for 26th at the Dixie Vodka 400. But, 10 straight races of Top 5 finishes really has oddsmakers shaking in regards to Harvick. Expect a big bounce back for one of the betting favorites.

Denny Hamlin +550

Hamlin will start from the outside pole in this race on Saturday. Hamlin is coming off a second place finish at Daytona. It was his third second place finish in the last four races. He has not won since July 23rd, but has 5 wins on the season. Anytime Hamlin is in the race field, he is a threat to take the win.

Martin Truex Jr +400

Starting third in this event, is right where he has finished the previous five events. That’s pretty amazing, that he has gone third place five straight times. In each of those races, Truex started 5th or worse with the exception of last week. Truex and his +400 odds are the reason why people are excited for Truex in this event.

Ryan Blaney +1400

The youngster has a win on the season, and is looking to solidify his name with the second here at Dover. A weekend ago, he did not fare real well, as he finished 31st. In fact, four out of his last five races, Blanley has finished outside of the Top 15. But, this track, and his positioning is one that many are expecting to give him a chance here. Blaney is listed at +1400 to win the event.

Joey Logano +1500

Logano started 5th last week, and finished 9th. This week he will start 5th again. This is a great spot for Logano though and his style of racing. Look for a strong race from start to finish with Logano. He is seeking his fourth win of the season, and the 16th Top 10 finish.

Kurt Busch +3300

Kurt Busch is a little bit of a longshot here, but why not, right? He has yet to win a race this season, but odds say he is due.. Right? He started 8th a week ago, and finished 14th. In fact his betting odds are at rock bottom, due to seeing four straight races outside of the Top 9. That’s not the Kurt Busch we have known along the years. Busch is listed at +3300, but bettors know he is better than that. If he can snap out and race solid from start to finish, he can pay off with a nice payout.

This should be a fun race, and one to really watch from start to finish. The big names are at the top of the betting odds, but will they come away with the win in this one. Only time will tell. Best of luck with all your racing bets, and enjoy the weekend!
