Didi Gregorius had a chance to pull the Yankees bacon out of the fire yesterday when he came up with the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth inning. Gregorius got good wood on the ball, but lined out to second ending the rally in what would be a 3-2 win for Tampa Bay. The loss was costly to New York, which combined with Toronto's win over Baltimore stretched the Blue Jays lead back to 1 1/2 games over the Bronx Bombers. The Yankees will see if they can bounce back today as they face Tampa Bay's ace Chris Archer in the series finale.
