CFL Week 15 Betting Preview

13 September 2023 By Ryan Knuppel

We are getting ready to head into Week 15 of the 21-week CFL regular season, and teams are running out of time to get into the playoff mix. For teams that have gotten off to a great start through the first two-thirds of the season they now must find a way to finish things off strong.

There are some interesting matchups set to take place in Week 15 of the CFL season, and some of the betting odds that you will see are tight. Here is a look at each of the four games set to take place this weekend, with a Dunkel pick and prediction provided for each matchup.

Toronto Argonauts at Montreal Alouettes

Time: 7:00 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: Toronto 117.198; Montreal 113.299
Dunkel Line & Total: Toronto by 4; 48
Vegas Line & Total: Toronto by 6 ½; 52 ½
Dunkel Pick: Montreal (+6 ½); Under

The Toronto Argonauts and Montreal Alouettes meet up yet again in Week 15, and Toronto will be looking for a similar result in this matchup. Toronto is a 6.5-point betting favorite this weekend, but you have to believe that Montreal is going to put up a better fight on their home turf.

There is no denying that the Argonauts are the best team in the league this season, and they just continue to get better as the season moves along. Montreal is going to find a way to battle in this matchup, but in the end, it won’t matter.

Take the 6.5 points and bet on Montreal in this one, but Toronto picks up another win.

Edmonton Elks at Saskatchewan Roughriders

Time: 9:30 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: Edmonton 105.073; Saskatchewan 112.592
Dunkel Line & Total: Saskatchewan by 7 ½; 55
Vegas Line & Total: Saskatchewan by 2 ½; 45 ½
Dunkel Pick: Saskatchewan (-2 ½); Over

The Edmonton Elks are set to visit the Saskatchewan Roughriders this weekend, and the home team is a 2.5-point betting favorite in this one. Both of these teams have been struggling of late, but this spread suggests that either team will be able to pick up the win.

Edmonton just has too many glaring issues to really back in this one, despite trending in the right direction a bit. This will be a chance for Saskatchewan to get things back on track, and they are going to play well enough to win and cover the spread in this one.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Time: 4:00 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: Winnipeg 123.645; Hamilton 108.891
Dunkel Line & Total: Winnipeg by 15; 43
Vegas Line & Total: Winnipeg by 6 ½; 47 ½
Dunkel Pick: Winnipeg (-6 ½); Under

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have put together a solid season so far in 2023, and they head to Hamilton this weekend as a 6.5-point betting favorite against the Tiger-Cats. Hamilton has had a really tough time getting stops this season, and that is going to come into play in this matchup.

It’s just really hard to slow down the Winnipeg offense, and that unit should have another big game in this one. Take Winnipeg at -6.5, as they are able to go to Hamilton and have a big day on offense in this one.

Ottawa Redblacks at BC Lions

Time: 7:00 pm ET
Dunkel Ratings: Ottawa 101.324; BC 118.986
Dunkel Line & Total: BC by 17 ½; 53
Vegas Line & Total: BC by 9 ½; 45
Dunkel Pick: BC (-9 ½); Over

The final game of the weekend will take place in British Columbia as the Lions are set to host the Ottawa Redblacks. BC is a whopping 9.5-point betting favorite in this matchup, and that makes sense when looking at the standings.

Ottawa has won just three games this season, and that defense has been horrific so far this season for the Redblacks. The BC Lions should have little trouble scoring points in this game, as they are going to roll to a double-digit win and cover the spread in this game.
